Biz Center Art, the gallery, in residence at the La Mesa Biz Center, presents Nowhere, a small image show featuring works of art no larger than 12” x 14” and costing no more than $100. The opening reception for Nowhere is Saturday, June 23rd from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Biz Center Art gallery, 7317 El Cajon Boulevard, La Mesa, CA 91942. The
reception will feature the artists and their art; live music by local
musicians; and two specialty food trucks (God Save Cuisine and Urban
Eats) parked outside the gallery. See the Facebook Event Page here.
Biz Center Art has also received exclusive rights to show art from thePeggy & Dick Handlery Collection.
Peggy and Cick Handlery, who owned the Handlery Gallery
in Old Town for over fifty years, have agreed to let Biz Center Art
show pieces from their personal collection at the Biz Center Gallery.
The pieces, images, drawings and celluloid prints of scenes from many
magical MGM movies, will be shown in a special area of the Biz Center
Gallery by special arrangement with hte Handlery family. Much as they
would like to hang onto these classic pieces of cinematic history, Peggy
and Dick are ready to let them go to worthy homes. Because most of the
images fit within the confines of the Nowhere show (small, valuable but
not too expensive), gallery Director has elected to show them alongside
the Nowhere art. These one-of-a-kind images will be on display -- and
for sale -- for a limited time so come see movie history!
