The BCA gallery features a total of 1,350 square feet of wall space in and throughout the La Mesa Biz Center. This allows artists space to show and sell their work and enhances the lives of the business professionals who work in the center and the people who do business with them.
BCA is managed by the effusive and talented Midge Hyde, an arts advocate, artist and someone you'd love to create art and do business with. Midge sets up bi-monthly jurried gallery exhibits, connects with artists and sells art. She can also help you put on a tasteful event amidst the ever-changing landscape of of Biz Center Arts.
I was at the last reception in April. The exhibit is a wonderful mix of art styles in a very comfortable venue. I got to meet some of the artists who were very friendly and shared a lot about their process. Plus free goodies.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I will definitely go again.
Midge Hyde has welcomed La Mesa Fair Trade to the Biz Center Art. Fair Trade coffee from the local Treehouse Coffee Co was served. Brochures about Fair Trade and about the "Buy Local, Buy Fair" La Mesa campaign were available. The display of artwork throughout the building was well done and beautiful. It was also a pleasure to speak to most of the artists that night.
ReplyDeleteWe look forward to the next event!
